How does a bingo number caller work?
A bingo number caller draws numbers at random with no repeats, shows each one large, and keeps a board of everything called. This free caller also reads calls aloud, can call automatically every 10, 20, or 30 seconds, shows a presentation screen for a TV or video call, and checks printed cards by card number.
How to use the bingo caller
Choose what to call
Pick 1–75 for classic American bingo (called with letters, like B-7), 1–90 for UK-style bingo, or 1–100. If you made cards with our bingo card maker, choose Host this game after downloading to call your own words or numbers.
Pick the pattern
Choose what counts as a win for this round, such as any line, four corners, or blackout. A small diagram shows the pattern.
Call and check
Press Call next or the space bar. When a player calls bingo, type their card number to check it, then announce the winner.
What the caller does
- Random calls with no repeats. Numbers are shuffled using your browser's secure random generator.
- Read-aloud. Calls are spoken with your device's built-in voice. Choose a voice and speed.
- Auto-call. Calls every 10, 20, or 30 seconds, and waits for the voice to finish first.
- Undo. Called one by mistake? Undo it.
- Called board. Numbers light up on a board grouped by letter, or called words appear in order.
- Rounds and patterns. Play several rounds with the same cards, each with a new pattern.
- Card checker. For cards made with our maker, type one or several card numbers to see each card with called squares highlighted and a clear result.
- Winner announcements. A big "BINGO!" banner with the winner's name, confetti, and an optional spoken announcement.

Show calls on a TV or projector
Choose Open presentation screen. A second window opens with the current call in huge text, the last few calls, this round's pattern, and the called board. Drag that window to the TV or projector and press F for full screen. Keep calling from the first window: the presentation screen updates instantly, with no internet connection needed between the two windows.
Play bingo on Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams
Open the presentation screen, then share that window in your call. Your camera stays on, so players see you and the game together.

How do I make the bingo caller read numbers out loud?
Turn on Read calls aloud. The caller uses your browser's built-in voice, so it works without extra software in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox. You can choose a voice and a slow, normal, or fast speed. Voices vary by device.
How do I check if a bingo card is a winner?
For cards made with Bingo Card Maker Free, open the caller from your cards with Host this game, then type the card number shown on the winning card. The checker rebuilds that card, highlights the called squares, and says whether it completes this round's pattern. You can check several card numbers at once.
Can I use the bingo caller on Zoom?
Yes. Open the presentation screen and share that window in Zoom with Share sound turned on, so players can see and hear the calls while your camera stays on.
What happens if I refresh the page?
Your game is saved on your device, including calls, rounds, and winners, so it continues after a refresh. Choose Reset game to start over.
Does the caller work for word bingo?
Yes. Make word bingo cards with the card maker, then choose Host this game. The caller draws your words at random. For classroom cards with clues, it shows the clue to read and the answer beside it.
How do players join a bingo game online?
In step 2, create a join link. Share that one link with everyone in a group chat, text, or email, or show the QR code on a screen. Each person who opens it gets their own different card on their phone. Guests can also go to bingocardmakerfree.com/play and type the 6-character game code. No download, app, account, or email is needed.
Can I print the QR code for players to scan?
Yes. Choose Download QR code to save a ready-to-print sign with the QR code, the web address, and your game code. Put it on a table or show it on a TV so guests can scan it as they arrive.
Can some players use paper cards and others use phones?
Yes. Enter how many printed cards you handed out before creating the join link. Phone cards start after those numbers, so no two players share a card, and every card can be checked by its number.
How do I take a break during a bingo game?
In step 3, choose a 2, 5, 10, or 15 minute break and press Start break. Auto-call pauses, and the presentation screen shows a large countdown until the break ends. Pressing Call next ends the break early.
Can I come back to my game later or on another device?
Yes. Save your private host link from step 1. Opening it reloads the same cards and reconnects your join link and players. Keep it private, because anyone with the host link can control the game.
